MediSun Energy and Yanrun Membrane Technology have formalized a joint venture at Singapore International Water Week 2026, creating a dedicated Singapore-based entity to manufacture, market and deploy a family of next-generation electro-driven systems across the Gulf Cooperation Council and Southeast Asia. The new company will integrate MediSun’s brine-to-resource platform with Yanrun’s 47-patent portfolio in Electrodialysis Bipolar Membrane, Electrodialysis Metathesis, Electrodialysis stacks and Pressurised Forward Osmosis, while bundling them with integrated Zero Liquid Discharge solutions for heavy industry and desalination plants.

Anchored in Singapore’s hydrohub infrastructure, the joint venture will serve as the exclusive global launchpad outside mainland China, assembling stacks, skids and full ZLD trains on site. The partners aim to shorten delivery cycles for GCC utilities facing tightening brine discharge limits and for Southeast Asian industrial estates expanding under stricter environmental permits.
